Tab A function used for setting and pre-setting the position of text. Tab key A key on the keyboard used to tabulate text, to move between cells in spreadsheets, or to move from one database field to the next. Taskbar A bar usually situated along the bottom of the screen in Windows that display the Start button and buttons for all the programs and documents that are currently open. The Taskbar can be moved to any of the four sides of the screen by clicking on it and dragging it to a new location. Task Wizard See Wizard Template A format for saving a document, such as a letterhead, the basic elements of which you regularly want to use. When you open a template, a copy of it appears for you to work on, while the template itself remains unalterd for further use. TFT (Thin Film Transistor) A type of LCD (Liquid crystal display) screen used on Laptop computers and flat screen monitors. TFT screens are brighter and crsper than earlier types of LCDs. Tile To reduce in size a group of open windows and than arrange them so they can can all be seen on screen at once. Toolbar A bar or window containing clickable buttons used to issue commands or access functions. For example spreadsheets programs have a toolbar that contains buttons that are clicked on to perform calculations or add decimal placec.Other toolbars include ones for dealing with pictures or drawing.
