The Keyboard is not working |

Your Keyboard is a part of your PC which takes a lot of 'hammering'. The new Generation of Keyboards are well made and can withstand an enormous amount of use and abuse before they start to malfunction.
If keys start sticking and are getting difficult to press down, it maybe as simple as giving the keys and the Keyboard a good old fashioned dust down. I always use the tube of my Hoover and suck the dust out of the nucks and crannies. This has always worked for me.
But apart from dust there are others slightly more serious reasons why a Keyboard decides to malfunction.
If you have poured a Drink over the Keyboard If that happens be quick. Unplug the Keyboard, get a soft piece of fabric or a small sponge and with a little water and some washing up liquid mixed clean the Keyboard. Let it stand upright or lay it upside down to dry for 48 hours. It should work after that. The Keyboard works fine, apart from a few Keys which are not working correctly Check first for Dust and Gunge between the Keys.Use cleaning solution or a little soapy water on a sponge.(Don't drown your Keyboard). You can also remove the capping and see if there is Dust or small particles jammed underneath. If that does not work, and providing the fault is not caused by a Software problem it often is cheaper to buy a new Keyboard than getting it repaired. Keyboards are available from as little as € 9,00
